Thank You

Although we're supposed to be getting ready for the Holiday Sale Season, we wanted to take a step back and say, "Thank You.”

In many ways 2025 has been a hard year for Emporia. A number of large employers closed up shop. Other large concerns have rumored layoffs. Yet, even with your tough times and when you don't really have much to spend you come in to see us... even if it is only to say "hello" to friends. We are immensely proud to be your neighborhood bookshop and look forward to better learning our trade to better serve you in the future.

We will see many of you on Black Friday, or Small Business Saturday and we probably won't get the time to really tell each of you the "Thank you" that we would really like to.

We're only still here because you have kept us here and made us your neighborhood bookstore.

I'm sorry this little article reads like spam. It is really not. It would be weird to write down each of your names in this little newsletter that will get public circulation, but I'm pretty sure you know that I'm talking to you. We're able to pay our employees because of you. We're able to buy more from our local presses because of you. We're able to give to our local charities and causes because of you.

In short, we're able to be a part of this community, because you have made us a part of this community. It is a cherished gift that we do not take lightly.

We wish for you a beautiful Thanksgiving and a happy and prosperous Christmas season & New Year.
