At Leap of Faith Farm
A leap from suburbia to farm life reveals love, loss, and resilience through twenty years of animals, harsh winters, and the unforgettable lessons they leave behind.
“A really enjoyable read! The description of the Minnesota weather, especially winters, the critters beyond just the domesticated pets, the neighbor's, and just general life on the farm makes the book a great escape from the chaos of current life. What I found most unique in Heide's book is the animal care and veterinary interactions. I think many people dream of having a farm and animals, but don't readily think of the abundant care and specifically medical care they may need. She did a really good job of describing the different ailments, treatments, and travels involved with caring for them all.”
— Dr. Mathew Coles, Small Animal Veterinarian, Animal Hospital of Lawrence
